Supporters of the Palestinian cause claim that the occupation of Palestine is the longest occupation in the world. Surely, they are right. Palestine was occupied for nearly 2,000 years. The only people who ever established a sovereign nation in this part of the world, and a unique civilization, were cast out into the deserts of Arabia and the Ghettos of Europe, degraded and persecuted. There, our ancestors lived as second class citizens, or died at the hands of their persecutors, for almost a hundred generations.

For most of this period, the historic connection of the Jews to our land was almost universally recognized and understood by Christian and Muslim alike, though Christian replacement theology insisted that the inheritance of the land had been taken from the Jews as punishment.

Since the publication of the Protestant Vulgate Bible in the 16th century, the historic right of the Jews to their homeland became evident to most Christians, in accordance with their own beliefs. The restoration of the Jews was a beloved project of nineteenth century American and British statesmen, theologians and dreamers. Numerous American presidents including Abraham Lincoln spoke out in favor of the rights of the Jews in Palestine.

Muslims and Arabs also understood the rights of the Jews in Palestine. The Emir Feisal, son of Sherif Hussain and later King of Iraq, indicated the willingness of Arabs to welcome Jews to Palestine, and implicitly recognized that the land of Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews. He wrote to Justice Frankfurter at the Paris peace conference in 1919:

I want to take this opportunity of my first contact with American Zionists to tell you what I have often been able to say to Dr. Weizmann in Arabia and Europe.

We feel that the Arabs and Jews are cousins in having suffered similar oppressions at the hands of powers stronger than themselves, and by a happy coincidence have been able to take the first step towards the attainment of their national ideals together.

We Arabs, especially the educated among us look with the deepest sympathy on the Zionist movement. Our deputation here in Paris is fully acquainted with the proposals submitted yesterday by the Zionist Organisation to Peace Conference, and we regard them as moderate proper. We will do our best, in so far as we are concerned, to help them through: we will wish the Jews a most hearty welcome home. (emphasis added)

With the chiefs of your movement, especially with Dr. Weizmann, we have had and continue to have the closest relations. He has been a great helper of our cause, and I hope the Arabs may soon be in a position to make the Jews some return for their kindness. We are working together for a reformed and revived Near East, and our two movements complete one another. The Jewish movement is national and not imperialist. Our movement is national and not imperialist, and there is room in Syria for us both. Indeed I think that neither can be a real success without the other.

There are still not a few Muslims who support the cause of the Jews in our own land.

The establishment of Israel in 1948 was the fulfilment of an historic desire, an age-old dream of many Christians as well as Jews. The longest occupation in the world had ended.

The Jews unfortunately had recited "Next Year in Jerusalem" for so long, and with so little result, that some among us no longer believed the words they were saying. Others were reluctant to accept our good fortune as reality, after so many bitter disappointments and setbacks. But the flame of national feeling had not died in the hearts of most of the Jewish people.

How sad it is, that after the achievement of this dream of one hundred generations, the world is suddenly being made to forget what it once believed, and to deny what it took for granted not so long ago! The Arabs, far from wishing the Jews a hearty welcome home, gave us many twenty one gun salutes, with loaded guns. The kindness of Weizmann to the Arabs was returned by rioters incited by the Grand Mufti, Hajj Amin Al Husseini. Failing to destroy Israel with guns, the Arabs enlisted anti-Zionists and the USSR to claim that Zionism is racism, Zionism is a colonialist movement, and more recently, to conduct a concerted campaign to erase the historic right of the Jews to Israel (or "Palestine") from the collective memory of the world.

This campaign is being conducted on many fronts and in many ways. The first and most subtle challenge to Jewish rights was the thesis that Israel was created only as a shelter for persecuted Jews or that it was created as the result of the Holocaust. It is evident for example, in this misleading and inaccurate definition of Zionism, which seems harmless at first:

A Jewish movement that arose in the late 19th century in response to growing anti-Semitism and sought to reestablish a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Modern Zionism is concerned with the support and development of the state of Israel.

This is a definition that most people would accept, but it is not entirely correct. Zionism was founded as the national movement of the Jews. The word "Zionism" was coined by Nathan Birnbaum, before the first Zionist congress, but the idea of Jewish return to Israel was as old as the Diaspora, and proto-Zionists began settling the land and talking and writing about return long before Birnbaum coined the term. Zionism arose because Jews understood that they could not exist long as a people in a modern world of nation states without their own land.

From the argument that Israel was founded as a refuge for Jews from anti-Semitic persecution, it is a short jump to a pernicious claim. The word "reestablish" in the above definition is changed to "establish" and the historic tie of the Jews with Israel and with Jerusalem is erased. This becomes the basis for the argument that the Arabs and Muslims should not have to "pay for the sins of Europe," and to the argument that "Nakba," as they call it, of the Palestinian Arabs, was another "Holocaust" created by attempts to redress the wrongs done to the Jews. Consequently, Israel Independence day is turned from a day of celebration to a day of mourning. The Arabs of Palestine created their own Nakba when they, along with the Arab states, tried to destroy the Jewish state, rather than accepting it alongside their own state. The Arab refugees of 1948 were no more victims than the Germans of the Sudetensland who tried to destroy Czechoslovakia.

That is one sort of attack on the legitimacy of the Jewish state. The "Apartheid Israel" campaign popularized by Jimmy Carter's Apartheid book is a second approach. Along with the idea that Israel was created as a refuge for the Jews, and a special favor granted by the Christian world out of their magnanimity, Carter ignores Zionism almost entirely and portrays Israel primarily as the "homeland" of Jesus and Christianity, but he doesn't deny the rights of Jews to a homeland in our own country. However, the apartheid campaign itself was created explicitly with the intent of promoting the idea that Zionism is an evil ideology, equivalent to the white supremacism of South Africa.

At the same time, there is a constantly growing din of voices in the Jewish community, led by anti-Zionists, who use "legitimate criticism of Israel" as a slogan to cover their real intent. Their ideological position and their agitation has nothing to do with the occupation and did not arise because of it. The people who are running this campaign are not going to stop at Hebron or Ariel or even East Jerusalem. They want "Palestine" from the river to the sea, and they do not hide their intentions.

In masking themselves as "peace" groups or groups that advocate democracy, anti-Zionists have set up dangerous traps both for those Zionists who oppose the occupation and for advocates of Greater Israel. Those who oppose the occupation are tempted to form alliances with anti-Zionists with the best intentions. They may join the bandwagon in order to demonstrate their loyalty to "progressive" causes. They become dupes aiding in their own destruction. The Greater Israel advocates can fall into the trap by vociferously insisting on unrealistic goals and military solutions, providing the "proof" that the anti-Zionists use to show that "Zionism" is identical with "Greater Israel" and with "colonialism," and is opposed to peace.

The is a campaign to erase the historic tie of the Jewish people to our land and to break the foundations of the recognized right of the Jewish people to a state in Israel. It is potentially the ultimate threat to Israel and to the existence of our people as a nation. If it succeeds, it will destroy Israel with much more certainty, and more completely and permanently, than the genocidal terrorists of the Hezbollah and the Jews will return to being a religious sect or ethnic group, living as guests at the mercy of all the nations of the world, including the Arab masters of "Palestine." It is doubtful, however, that a dispersed group of this type could long survive as a group, especially after the blow dealt to Judaism by the Holocaust. A remnant might survive in isolated communities that maintain the medieval traditions that are no longer relevant to modern life. Nothing would be left of the Jews but groups such as the Neturei Karteh. Remember, Zionism arose because Jews understood that they could not exist long as a people in a world of modern nation states without their own land. Anti-Zionism can destroy the Jewish people if it succeeds.

As we celebrate the anniversary of the end of the longest occupation in the world, we must remember: Fighting the delegitimization of Israel and the denial of the right to self determination to the Jewish people is the most important task of every Zionist organization, regardless of political differences about the occupation, peace negotiations, or any other consideration.

Christian Zionists believe and support the fulfillment of the many prophecies that foretold the restoration of Jews from all over the world to the Promised Land of Israel. Shimon Peres Came to Power Over Rabin's Dead Body

I met Yitzhak Rabin in the Israeli Parliament in 1982 during Hanukkah. I was able to talk with him briefly and mention I was associated with Ambassador College in Pasadena, California.

That was a tactful way of saying I'm a Christian since I knew he personally knew Herbert W. Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God, including the Plain Truth magazine. Herbert Armstrong had formerly presented him with a gift of Steuben crystal.

I was a volunteer at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan at the time, in Northern Israel near Haifa. Just so happens Yitzhak Rabin had lived there for over a year in the late '50s.

I initially considered Prime Minister Rabin - born in Jerusalem - a traitor for surrendering too much to sworn Arab enemies who had not changed their goal of genocide, only their tactics; for going against clear security concerns he once expressed. (I was in a cafe in Jerusalem when he was shot in Tel Aviv). I refused to attend his funeral, although I had attended the funeral of Meir Kahane, former Israeli parliament member and rabbi, some years before.

Later I found out Yitzhak Rabin was apparently being pressured by the dark powers that be to continue to go against what he knew was wrong and that he resisted and was therefore MURDERED by them for coming to his senses. Shimon Peres came to power over the dead body of Yitzhak Rabin.

I do not believe Yigal Amir murdered Rabin. ( I've met Avishai Raviv several times at demonstrations - he's the government agent provocateur who goaded Yigal Amir to murder Rabin). Yigal Amir is a patsy, the fall-guy, as is thoroughly expounded upon in Who Killed Yitzhak Rabin? by Barry Chamish, his first book that broached the subject and clearly indicts the traitor and murderer suspect Shimon Peres (whose Hebrew name appropriately means vulture).

I repeatedly condemn Shimon Peres as a kapo of compromise, a prostitute who serves his German-Jesuit EU masters, a traitor who has sold and is selling out Jews, Jerusalem and Israel and say as much in my book Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall. I am on public record against his perfidy and continue to expose him. He was the Bolshevik in charge during my unjust deportation, who was very much aware of an article published in Jerusalem where I mention the EU plans for Jerusalem's occupation.

The Israeli Secret Police (six men interrogated me) had a computer disk with Beyond Babylon on it and said many would read it and examine it during their investigation of me during their wild goose chase. I told them to make sure then Prime Minister Shimon Peres read it.

New evidence further PROVES Yigal Amir did not kill Yitzhak Rabin. It's past time Israelis demand: REOPEN THE RABIN FILE. And now with the release of the Kempler video, many are doing just that!

I read your article on Sabbath keeping and the holy days. I only can say that you are not required to keep them, according to Jewish law

I realize according to traditional Jewish law they say it is not necessary, and some even say we should be put to death! However, the Word of God that such traditions woefully ignore reveal that God has given the holy days to Israel to share with the whole world as they represent God's plan of salvation for all mankind, even as the Third Temple will be a house of prayer for all peoples with no mention of division in Ezekiel between Gentiles and Israelites any longer.

As for the Sabbath, it has been in existence since Creation and Adam and Eve were not Jewish! Just like the dietary laws have been in existence since Creation with Noah taking into the Ark clean animals by seven and unclean animals by two. I prefer the Word of God over Jewish or "Christian" tradition. The prophecies also reveal that King Messiah will command ALL nations to keep the biblical festivals of the LORD or suffer the consequences. This truth is completely contrary to traditional Jewish law and "Christian" tradition.

Actually, the Anglo-Saxons and white peoples of Northwestern Europe are not Gentile - we are Gentilized Israelites. By the grace of God, I am helping to restore our Israelite identity and return our "Lost Ten Tribes" to the biblical ways and holy days and encouraging all to move beyond Babylon.

The Jewish political and religious leaders ought to recognize Joseph and call out to us to join in biblical celebrations in Jerusalem before our Great Creator God like King Hezekiah nobly did.

6 Then the runners went throughout all Israel and Judah with the letters from the king and his leaders, and spoke according to the command of the king: "Children of Israel, return to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel; then He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 7 And do not be like your fathers and your brethren, who trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, so that He gave them up to desolation, as you see. 8 Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the LORD; and enter His sanctuary [this includes the Land of Israel where Israelite representatives ought to be encouraged to move to], which He has sanctified forever, and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you. 9 For if you return to the LORD, your brethren and your children will be treated with compassion by those who lead them captive, so that they may come back to this land; for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him."

10 So the runners passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun; but they laughed at them and mocked them [often this is the same response the servants of God receive today by our proud and stubborn Israelite peoples who prefer their Gentile traditions to biblical truth and by smug Jewish brethren who want to remain exclusivist]. 11 Nevertheless some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

I did not know that you had Jewish cousins, but I saw that a family named Israel Ort was in your vicinity on previous census records.

Israel Ort is my great Grandfather on my father's maternal side. I'm at a standstill on my father's paternal side - the Hoover's. My great great Grandfather Abraham Hoover took off with the maid (and left his wife Anne Creeger behind) and has never been found. Some relative contacted me and said he was born in Pennsylvania and such but it doesn't appear sure.

JERUSALEM - A video of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination broadcast on Israeli TV Tuesday night shows a gunman loitering unchallenged near the prime minister's car, easily approaching him from behind and shooting him in the back at point-blank range.

The dark and grainy video, taken by an amateur photographer, shows the gunman stalking Rabin until his outstretched left arm nearly touches the prime minister. Two shots from the gun suddenly flash and Rabin drops to the pavement, covered by his bodyguards.

The Yediot Ahronot newspaper published a series of still images from the eight-minute video Tuesday. It printed the dramatic moment of assassination across half its front page.

Israel TV's Channel Two aired the tape as the opener of its prime time newscast. Previously, the only image the public had seen of the assassination were still photographs showing only Rabin's heels as he lay mortally wounded near his car.

The video was made by Tel Aviv resident Ronni Kempler, 37, an accountant for the State Comptroller's Office. He filmed the murder from a rooftop overlooking the parking lot where Rabin was shot after a Nov. 4 peace rally.

Asked why he filmed the parking lot, Kempler told Yediot Ahronot: "The whole time I had the feeling that something bad would happen. There was anxiety in the air. Maybe because in the (army) reserves I deal in security, I am more sensitive to that."

In much of the tape, Kempler focuses on confessed gunman Yigal Amir, who sat some of the time on the stone edge of a round flower bed in the parking lot. Amir has said he was able to approach the prime minister by posing as a driver.

"At first, he looked suspicious to me as he sat by the plant," Kempler said.

"He stood out, and with all the talk about political assassinations, attacks - he looked like a potential killer. Then I told myself that he was probably an undercover policeman, because otherwise the police would have dealt with him."

At one point the gunman got up from the flower bed, approached Rabin from behind and fired two shots. After the shots rang out, people around the prime minister ducked.

At that moment, the amateur cameraman who taped the assassination also hit the ground, and the video shows the guard rail on the roof.

Yediot and Channel Two bought the tape from Kempler for $350,000, said Nachman Shai, the director of Channel Two. Most of that outlay has been recouped by reselling the footage to other news organizations, Shai said.

Vatican ambassador to Israel Monsignor Antonio Franco has refused to participate in annual Holocaust Day memorial services at the Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.

Franco is shunning the service due a photograph displayed at the Holocaust museum depicting then-Pope Pius XII. The caption beside the photo comments on the pope's dubious reaction to the murder of Jews during the Holocaust...

If the Jewish Homeland of Israel were a self-respecting country, they would bar the Vatican delegate from attending any Holocaust remembrance service since its hypocrisy would stink to high Heaven.

Let the bloody Vatican return the Temple treasures they hold hostage; release the Jewish manuscripts and artifacts they've refused to let go; acknowledge their role in the infamous ratlines; stop aiding and abetting the Nazi-Muslim demand for an accursed "Palestine" carved out of the Promised Land of Israel; cease and desist immediately from undermining Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem and a host of other evils they're accomplice to.
